Mac OS X 10.3/4.x and later
To install fonts in Mac OS 10.3.x and later, follow the instructions below:
Locate the font file you wish to install, and double-click the icon. The Font Book will open and display the font so you can see what it looks like.
Click Install Font.
By default, the application installs the font in the Library folder of your home directory, making it available only to you. To make it available to all users on the computer, in the Font Book application, drag the font to the Computer folder in the "Collection" column.
Note: If the Computer folder is not visible, first click the triangle next to All Fonts in the "Collection" column.

Nope. Fonts all installed. Still not working. Also had a problem where VDJ refused to start up, but a re-boot of the Mac cured it.

did anyone during the beta testing have this problem? and Why does the software still say 4.2 beta? Is this just like a beta test?
If this is a main release, then the font problem is a big one.
Runs good though other than that :-)

Its the first release, so there is bound to be some troubles surfacing that the beta testers didnt see
Guess thats why Dev Team kept the beta name in there, and I'm sure there will be quick fix updates for it

What if you use different skin ?
Or change the font in use, in the XML file?
(the browser part)

I can see the font a little bit on the left... but its too big, can we shirnk it somehow?

look for something like this in the XML file
<browser>
<size width="1257" height="373"></size>
<pos x="12" y="383"></pos>
<text font="Verdana" size="13" color="#FFFFFF" selected="#000080"></text>
<options font="Tahoma" size="13" color="#FFFFFF" over="#99DDFF"></options>
<widgets font="Virtual DJ" size="10" color="#99DDFF" facecolor="transparent" lightcolor="#808080" shadowcolor="#606060" darkshadowcolor="transparent" highlightcolor="transparent" trackcolor1="transparent" trackcolor2="transparent"></widgets>
<icons x="0" y="3026"></icons>
</browser>
<tooltip font="Virtual DJ" size="10" color="#FFFFFF" back="#000000" shortcut="#808080"></tooltip>
Change the font
In the case above (PC version), the Verdana and VirtualDJ font is told to be used
Try using a mac font there instead....
Use one of these Mac default fonts:
http://www.wpdfd.com/editorial/osxfonts.htm
Try Helvetica or Arial
Does that helps? Not sure if it does, because the Verdana font should be default in Mac
