Could you scratch with this crossfader without bleeding?I'm praying the answer is yes.

Its a midi controller, and therefore a midi crossfader, so the cut curve for the crossfader can be set in VDJ. So yes, it can be used for with a scratch curve, that cuts fast.

Thank you are a million dj-in-norway I've set to order this from www.samash.com,but can you give me some lead way on how to set the crossfader for cut curve in vdj so it can be used for scratch?

Look in VDJ options, you can see several curves for the crossfader there;)

@ Sky or Cstoll (or X-session users,
I can't believe I have this piece and never realized... Right now I use the X-session (not pro), for all crossfading of video while I use the knobs on the mixer for audio. I chose this way becuase I like knob mixing but needed a quick way to cut in and out of video. I now want to try crossfading the video with the music. Can I use the x-session for both? My friend has a hercules but I do not want to use that sound card or quality of crossfader. I have a great external Presonus firebox as my soundcard.
SO my new discovery is- Can I make my midi X-session control both the audio and video with the crossfader?
THANKS!

I have "Linked crossfaders" checked in the video tab, but the crossfader on X-session only is doing the video. I must have to assign it in midi I would think.
is this true?

Ok- Skyy I got the music and video crossfaded togther in midi, but now I have a new challenge.
The headphone cue that I use on my mixer to hear the music in the headphones now does not work the same way. (I can only hear the music on line 2, when I crossfade over to the right)
My headphones (plugged into my mixer) are not allowing me to hear the music of the line in cue.
Can I fix this so, I can use my headphones like it normally was?
Hope this was clear,
B

I came across this controller while looking for a small mixer that I could use when on the road for business. I incorrectly assumed that it would have audio inputs and outputs, like a regular mixer would. So, with an M-Audio X-session and a maya usb44 sound card and my laptop, how will I get audio out to a portable stereo speaker? Where would I connect my headphones for cueing? Thanks.

I cant get my x session pro mixer to work, i get how you're supposed to go to config, click on general midi, and activate but i don't know where to go from there. i suppose to click config on the general midi icon but then im stuck. please help or even post a vid on youtube or something and send me the link.

go on ebay and type in usb sound cards. theres tiny sound cards thats just for mics/headphones. they cost at a maximum 10 dollars, i got a good one for $4 plus shipping but yeah, it works and then set it up on your laptop, with virtual dj click the thing that says 2 sound cards on config and etc. 1st driver put digital sound whatever it says and 2nd put the name of your usb sound card that you're gona buy, here a link
