What can i do? Would upgrading the Ram and getting a External Hard Drive help?

Computer Specs: 512 Ram can be upgraded to 1 Gig for sure! - 2 Gigs?
1.50 GHZ Intel Pentium M Centrino Processor
128mb Ati Mobility Radeon x300 Video Card ( Dedicated)

Only have about 15 Gigs left on Internal Hard Drive

Thanks

Upgrade ram is the easiest, and biggest boost you'll get from your PC..

BTW, try SPEEDLOAD in registry (loads video faster).
Slow video load is intentional, to keep videos from skipping while you mix..

But you MIGHT have enough power to have this safety measure off, althought having 512mb ram, I doubt it.. depends on your video files size (decode to ram).

hope that helps

As norway says...

Put more RAM to you PC, nowadays is cheap and it makes all goes better.

But you can test the REGISTRY tip norway said, you have to modify some KEY in the windows registry, if you're not experienced on this, better don't touch it, you could damage your Windows OS by mistake.

Also, try to close all other software you're using at same time, and all resident softwares (take a look at the bottom right of your desktop - next to the clock), antivirus, ...
