Topic: Nvidia Chipset Laptop Users - Some good info...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Drivers supplied by manufacturers (Dell, Toshiba, etc.) are rarely updated and easily become outdated thus not supporting the latest graphics technology. This is where LaptopVideo2Go (LV2Go) comes in. LV2Go provides unofficial support for all of the GPUs that nVidia has created and laptops produced by manufacturers. LV2Go enhances the drivers by modding the INF to fix problems and reveal hidden features.

Please read the entire site and review their forums before using their drivers.

Also, DJ Cyder may want to way in on this one...

Speaking with someone at DELL in the XPS division; they had no knowlege of this site. The people at NVIDEA however actually recomended getting updates there and not from their own site (weird).

Dell said it is always better and safer to go to the site of the card (NVIDIA) as far as trust in what you are getting.

Thing is its a driver, either it works or it doesn't I don't get my from either place :)

Hmmm, current driver for my Ins 5150 from dell is 52.00 i think, current nvidia driver 92ish!! need i say more

I think my alienware one I got last week should be alright.
I will check to be sure though. :)
