I am so excited. All my mpeg2 files are easily encoded into mpeg1 with good video quality, less hard drive space, and great sond.

Here are my encoding settings:

Mpeg1
Video size: 800x600
Bitrate: 4000
Framerate: 29.97
Audio bitrate: 320
Sample rate: 44100

Very please with the results.

NeroVision Express is another good program for encoding, it boasts the quickest encoding times of all programs out there and its own MPEG4 (which works with Virtual DJ) gives excellent quality with smaller filesizes. Of course you can always encode to MPG1 and MPG2 as well.

Another one that is also good is plato dvd ripper, which allows you to encode your videos using mp3 audio and divx format that is an excellent quality video, even better than mpg2 for me, since it has filters that avoid videos pixelate.
