Well... i'm trying to design a custom case with a dac2 and a full pc built in for mobile use.
The pc will be based on a mini "all in one" motherboard, and a budget cpu, about 2.8 ghz
The question is: Sempron 64 or Celeron D ?
Because power consumption and operating temperature of the cpu are important to this design,
i'd like to hear some suggestions about this. (and then for performance too)
I have the impression that semprons are cooler and have slightly better performance but maybe i'm wrong.
Also as i will use the default (boxed) fan and heatsnik it is important to know wich of the two has lower heigh when installed including fan and heatsnick.
(Not much room in my box)
Any computer technician out there ?, i've seen many on this forum...
Thanks..

I think this is something Cyder can help you with. He really knows about computers.

I am a big intel advocate. Regarding cooling, you can use the stock heatsink but replace the fan that comes with it with a aftermarket high CFM fan. This will greatly improve the cooling. Here is a site that I have used for my computer modding needs: http://www.frozencpu.com/scan/se=Fans/mp=menu_search_top.html?id=NBhMLq5R

i also agree that a aftermarket high CFM fan on a stock heatsink will help any space/temp issues
and i'm also another intel type user
