You need to rip the cd's to your hard drive and then use the Karaoke/CDG Zip Decoder in the config settings.

The karaoke stopped working for me when I upgraded to 3.3. I have files that are ripped that used to work with 3.0

check ENCODER settings inside Virtual DJ

They may have been reset with the upgrade.

Assosiate the files with the correct encoder

Make sure you have Zip in ENCODER settings inside Virtual DJ

I play zipped karaoke tracks all the time now... I don't do them as two seperate files anymore.

Assuming you have your zip files and you installed a FRESH copy of Virtual DJ, you need to open your config tab and select "EXTENSIONS" from the top. There you need to "ADD" an extension that you call "zip" When you add that, select the "Karaoke CDG/ZIP Decoder"

After that, just drag a zipped karaoke track onto a deck, or search for it and press play.

Be certain that you have your secondary monitor OR window selected and activated in VDJ.

If you need more detailed information on creating zips for free from your CDGs, check out my BLOG.
