Topic: sound cards

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

looking for some advice on sound cards, goin to be usin a external mixer, do i need 3 channels ie.channel 1= deck 1,channel 2 = deck 2,channel 3 = samples or does the samples mix themself before they leave the pc if you know what i mean
so to use the 2 decks and the samples would the soundblater live external card do?
any help would be much appreciated

You can choose which channel will be samples send to. Any soundcard with 2 stereo outputs will work great with external mixer.

are you planning on getting turntables in the future? if you do plan on getting tcv's then you will need 4 in 4 out, maya 44, or delta 44 are the best ones for that... if you just want to use a mixer, and dont plan on ever getting turntables, then i think anything will work, but im not sure

nope no turntables for me, i`m just looking for a cheapish soundcard to play deck 1, deck 2 and the samples into an external mixer

all you need is two stereo outputs, but i think it might work with one, if you use a slpitter...
