This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is the crossfader suppossed to be dragged all the way to the side of the incoming track when mixing? Or should it be just in the middle? I never use this fader, always leave it in the middle and just mix, and when I record and play it, the volume of the track (.wav) recored always reduced compared to the original one (.mp3), what should I do?

Usually, the crossfader is to the far left/right after your mix, unless you mix via volume (which, is impossible in Atomix without an external mixer (I think))

Set your 'fader to "Full" if you don't like doing the crossfader thing, it'll stop the quietness :)

The cross fader is a volume switch...it just makes it so you don't have to keep going back and forth between your deck volume controls............

I can't imagine any reason why you would use the individual volume controls instead of the crossfader.
