I need to reformat my hard drive and want to save all my beat per minute and comments information. Is that the Atomix mp3 internal database file? If not which would it be and where would it be located? Thanks.

Yep you've got it right, it's the internal database you need to backup then restore after reinstallation.

Might be an idea to save the shortcut's file as well if you've created any of your own.

If you have a CDR/DVDR drive or maybe even a tapestreamer, just take a full backup ;) (if you have enough discs of course ;))
