Hi all, What's the best programme for ripping CDs to get the metadata! On line as Windows media player is now being terminated stopped working.

CD ripping and getting the metadata for songs can be considered two different operations.
One general, open source ripper/encoder I use = fre:ac - I believe it can retrieve track metadata during the ripping process.
If you don't mind looking for extra metadata afterwards, then literally any modern media player/organizer has some form of metadata retrieval.
I personally use kid3 and MusicBrainz Picard

I've always used Audiograbber. It's been around for decades.

I am a big fan of dbPoweramp CD Ripper and I use the BPM Analyzer plug-in for Foobar2000 to write the BPM fields.
