Topic: Fluid Question
so I've been messing with the new Fluid analysis and am very impressed. But I do have a question. I have a song that doesn't really change tempo... but there are some bad edits that move the downbeat by a small amount. Will Fluid analysis catch this and fix it? I have mess with the Fluid Options, but haven't found a setting that fixes my one song in question.... yet.

Normally yes, but since you already tried on your edit and it didn't work, for that song apparently not.

What's the song?

The song is one I did some editing on in Pro-Tools, but sadly I lack the ability to get the tempo right and edit in "grid mode", so usually set up a separate track with intro's or outro's and use that as my "grid" when editing.

Basically, I put the intro drums loops on Track #2 overlapping the end of an edit on Track #1 and make sure they line up. Then make the edit on Track #1 and make sure it lines up with the overlapping intro on Track #2. Not perfect, but almost good enough. I'm pretty sure I know where the issue is so could go back in and give the editing another shot, but was hoping/ thinking Fluid would just automatically "fix" this issue in this songs, and some others I've run across over the years.

I have tried Fluid on some real tempo changing songs and it does seem to work as advertised, so am quite happy with this new ability in VDJ....

Given you have all the control (it's an edit you made), I would fix the problem at its source (the Pro Tools project) - go back there, fix the edit you made to have the drums on the tempo grid properly throughout the track, re-export that and use that in VirtualDJ.
