Is there a way to transcode unsupported formats (depending on compatibility mode) to mp3 instead of aac when using CDJ export?

I think if you set cdjExportCompatibility to CDJ400
 
I thought also, but unfortunately it still exports in aac in this mode, so I wondered if there was a hidden setting :(
 
Checked, and on cdj400 it should only export mp3

Edit: looks like there was indeed a bug causing it to still select aac, will be fixed

Conversion to mp3 is working in last early access (b8950), but the waveform is not exported.

More precision:

When exporting a playlist that contains, let's say, FLAC files:
- if export compatibility is set to CDJ2000, then FLAC files are transcoded as aac flies, and their waveform is exported and shown correctly (both in VirtualDJ CDJ view and Rekordbox),
- if export compatibility is set to CDJ400, then FLAC files are transcoded as MP3 but their waveform is not exported: it does not appear in VirtualDJ CDJ view nor in Rekordbox (files can be played though).

I think cdj400 does not support waveform...am i mistaken? (i had a pair like more than 10 years ago..)
 
CDJ400 doesn't support any library either (it does not support anything except reading from a FAT32 USB), the compatibility option is just to ensure files can be read by the device, it will still build a DeviceLibrary/OneLibrary that later devices can be read. The waveforms of the files that are already MP3 are exported, it's just the ones of the transcoded files that are not.
 
Sorry to bump an old thread. I'll be playing on CDJs200NSX2 soon. Was wondering if the standard CDJ2000 setting will work on that when exporting files. I have multiple types of files I'm exporting, including flac and m4a. Thanks.
