I would like to see this improved as far as detection goes. It does do a good job but it is kinda slow.
Also I’d like an option to be able to switch from automatic detection vs when I tap the BPM in.
Right now if I tap the BPM in, for example, VDJ reads the BPM at 175 when it should be 87.5
I want the half time for certain fxs.
I play a lot between digital and records.

It took me a while to understand what you mean, so in order to ensure I got it right:
1) When you say "thru" you mean taking another device's signal and run it thru VirtualDJ via line input, right ?
2) Then you ask for better BPM detection of the line input "live" signal, right ?
PS: You can use the relatively recently implemented effect_bpm_deck_tap action to override the BPM that the effects engine is going to use.
This way if your line input is detected as 130 but you want the effect to run at 65, you just TAP a new effects BPM.
If you are interested on how BPM Tap works, take a look at my recent skin. It's part of the FX section..

Yes you are correct and I will take a look at your skin as it is the one I use lol!
I could probably use that script on a shift with my mixers tap button. That would solve my half/double problem.
But Id still like faster and better beat detection when bringing in a live signal.

effect_bpm_deck, slipped by me, experimenting with it now on a dial.
