I haven't done video for a while. My client this weekend has requested video, and sent me a 3 minute video of the ceremony (destination wedding) and wants me to have the video play on a loop throughout dinner. In the past I would put the video in its own folder and select the folder for slideshow. I have never had an issue in the past. The file sent to me was a 4k mov file, and it is getting stuck and does like a 1/2 second loop for a minute or two then continues. it keeps doing this in different spots. So I converted the video to an mp4 at 1080p using handbrake and the same issue is happening.
I am running a M3 MBP with 24GB Ram
MacOS 26.0.1
VDJv2205-m b8800
Is this a recent bug Ithat is known or I discovered. Should I roll back the version of VDJ? Anyone have a workaround I can use. I need to figure out something before Saturday.

Is Slideshow set to play the entire video? Maybe it's set to only a few seconds?

No it is all the way at full video. If I playback the video in QuickTime, it plays through without issue. sometimes it does its 1 second stutter loop for 10 seconds, other ties it does it for a few minutes. then it continues to play until the end.

Can you try to disable useDXVA in options and see if that makes a difference?

That didn't work. I re encoded again, changing to a constant frame rate, and now it is working
