I am using the latest version of Virtual DJ as of Aug 26, 2025. I am using the Pro layout without a controller for an upcoming podcast via the Riverside platform. In trials, I found I needed to increase the volume using the Gain controls, which are circular knobs above the faders. Attempting to rotate these knobs with the mouse is clumsy and affords no precision or repeatability in the Gain settings. Is it possible to control the Gain in another way, perhaps by assigning a keyboard mapping using an arrow key? Better yet, is there a way to type in a precise Gain setting, e.g., +3.5 dB? Thanks for any help.

While such a way exists, are you sure you need to increase the gain of the track and not do something else ?
Usually with autoGain enabled (default setting) you don't have to mess with gain in 99.9% of user cases.
So, most likely for a simple usage case as the one you described the problem (and it's solution) lies somewhere else.
In any case, the action you can use is simply gain +1 to adjust via keyboard, or set_gain 3.5 to set it on a particular value.

Thanks for the help. Assigning the set_gain command with various dB values to a set of keys works great for me.
