I load a track in either deck, press play the play/pause button flashes and the jog wheels jitter slightly (moving about 1 minute back and forth if it was a clock) but there is no sound, nothing works (samplers etc) and it is as though the song isn't playing.
However when I go to unload the song I get a warning "A song is playing on this deck, are you sure you want to unload it".
I am on a Win 11 PC and have shut down and restarted several times. I have a stanton DJ4 and a Boss rc-505, though when testing this I don't have them connected. I have tried with no USB devices plugged in at all. I have also checked that when killing VDJ nothing is running in the task manager. I've tried different audio outputs, but I would be surprised if that was the issue...
This was all working fine yesterday. What on earth is going on and how do I fix it?

This usually happens when the soundcard configured in VirtualDJ settings stops responding, or is missing and an alternative cannot be initialized

Thanks for the response. I thought as much, but I rebooted the PC and switched to known working sound cards.
Obviously that VDJ locks up is a bug, is Atomic doing anything about it?

If the sound card doesn't work, then the waves don't move, not sure why you'd want them to move in that case?

I would want them to move after I switched to a sound card that worked. But they didn't.
