Hello all.
After a Windows 11 update, I went to use Virtual DJ (current version), and this is now happening. The current error code is now coming up (Direct X failed to initialize. Please install the correct drivers for your video cards. Error 384:887a0005).
I checked my other programs to make sure that this is not a persistent issue with others apps or programs (ie FL studio, RekordBox etc) and everything is fine.
I am stuck as I don't know what else to do after a fresh install.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be resolved?
I have a NVIDIA RTX video card with an i7-14700HX Processor.
I am ignorant of this situation and any help would be humbly appreciated.
Thank you for your patience.

Hello,
I've recently downloaded all versions and still having the same issues.
Should I try reinstalling the older Direct X 12 version before the current update?

If your laptop has integrated graphics as well, it might be those drivers too, so try to update the intel graphics drivers too.

ok i found a solution ,NVIDIA cleanup tool : https://developer.nvidia.com/cleanup-tool , this program cleans all the drivers of GPU and then Virtual DJ opens :)

This worked. Once it finishes, it requires a system reboot. As soon as finished loading back up, I started virtual DJ and it worked perfectly. Thank you for finding this fix.

Good evening and I apologize for being so late with this.
I did the link as what was posted (and thank you all for whom have supported and commented on this thread).
It did work but I noticed some issues with my laptop.
Other programs ran very weird and slow.
I reinstalled and or updated my drivers again to make sure things were in working order and the same issue persisted.
Could this very well be a app issue moving forward?
And are there any tech fixes that need to be done?
Thank you all for the tremendous help.

Thank you...been dealing with this issue.
It happened once last month. I did something to fix but I've had audio chirp issues since. Then the error message came up again today. The cleanup tool resolved the issue, I ran windows update and it listed an update for nvidia. I installed that and it is so far running correctly. So I guess a glitch in updates?

An update for NVIDIA?
Hmmm..
Do you know what is said specifically and I apologize for being ignorant on this as I do know that you get regular updates for NVIDIA GeForce etc for their driver updates but this is new to me.
Thank you for any feedback that you have.

Lastly, if you have a dual GPU, for example I have an Intel UHD. I found myself disabling that by going into the "Device Manager" and then to "Display Adapters" settings while in there.
This method oddly worked but I personally feel that I shouldn't have to do such for VDJ to work.
I appreciate any and all who are contributing to this post as this is and will help anyone having such issues.
Seasons Greeting and Happy Holidays all!
