I've done this many times in the past with no problems.
I save all music files and the Virtual DJ folder from documents to backup drive.
I transfer all of that to the new backup computer.
Virtual DJ is working fine and all music files are showing, however all of my customized settings are gone. Under midi mapping, it only shows "Factory Default" as an option. Not my custom one.
Any ideas how to get all my custom settings transferred over to the new computer?

in settings right at the bottom corner there's a cog, click it.
It shows you where vdj is using as it's home folder.
Older builds used .../documents/
new builds uses .../app data [I can't remember exact path]
I guess you copied to the old location,
regedit
will also show where vdj is looking for the homeFolder, it can be edited there, or you could just move your files to the new location

Wow. You nailed it. So I followed your instructions and copied the Virtual DJ folder to the correct location and now all of my settings are back. I had no idea of this change lol.
While I have your attention, one quick question. On my created playlists, many of the songs in there says "Missing." I can replace them one by one, but that is taking forever. Do you know if there a way to batch them all together and have VDJ replace them all at once?
Thanks so much for your help!!! I have a big wedding out of town tomorrow and trying to get this backup computer all set up before then.

I've done this kind of batch history fixing, but it's not easy, I'd have to pore over a full db & history backup to see what changed.
Doing it with regex is a lot easier than one by one, but it can still be time consuming.
if you dropbox your backup and link me on discord, I'll take a quick look, it could be doable short notice, it might not though.
