I'm currently using a 1 month trial with VDJ and a Numark NS7.
When I use the pitch fader, the speed of the jog does not change (the motorwheel in the device).
not at plus+ and not at minus-.
the pace is always consistent.
Change only between 45 and 33 via settings...
With Itch and also with Serato the rotation speed (+ & -) changes down and up to 50%.
why doesn't this work with vdj?
Am I missing a setting (which I don't think)?
full functionality is not given.
especially not for scratching...

That is simply how they have chosen to implement spinning platters in VDJ
The track speed / pitch changes, but the motor speed stays the same
It should make some things easier when beat jugling / scratching

(IMO) If that's true, that's not better/potentially counterintuitive for scratching/juggling, especially for a turntablist coming from DVS/traditional turntables where rotational speed differences wrt the pitch are expected (ultra pitching behaviour will be noticeably different compared to a turntable). It also means DVS behaves differently from motorized controllers (is this true for all motorized controllers, like the Rane Twelve?).
How is the default RPM speed chosen, is it based on quartz lock with rotational speed selection (33 1/3 or 45) ?

That's true for the old motorized models, but not for the new ones like Rane One, Twelve, Denon SC5000M/6000M, Hercules T7 etc
We could implement for NS7, but unfortunately we dont have any device in our lab for development.

Thanks for the clarification.

I can help test it on my NS7 if you like
Regarding the T7 mine arrived yesterday, and I noticed on the brake FX that it went from full-speed to complere stop instantly, so I assumed it was still the same. But it may very well be different for regular pitch changing

I can confirm that the motor does indeed change speed when you change the pitch on the new Hercules DJControl Inpuls T7
Sorry for the confusion
