on each side of a xp2 are finger slides. like you see on controllers to seek thru tracks or needle search. this has them mapped for efx. i have stems mapped fine. but tried to map the sliders for pitch. it didnt take. did anyone get this to work? is it possible?

The firmware of the XP2 is a bit weird/complex. The FX Touchstrip is offering MIDI messages depending on the selected FX1 to FX3 buttons https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddjxp2/layout/effects.html .
But even if you manage to get it working, i dont think you will get the accuracy required for a Pitch fader.

yeah it is. i can use the ni x1 mk2. but the mouse for modular is fine.
xp2 is great for stems and the ability to change key too.
