Topic: VDJ not releasing Shoutcast encoder after stopping broadcast
Hi,

Running build V2023 B7607. Using Listen2MyRadio and Shoutcast protocol to stream my set. I have more than one DJ using my stream (playing after me). Once I launch the server on the Listen2 website, then I start my broadcast, everything works great. However, once I stop my broadcast, VDJ does not "let go" of the encoder for almost a minute. Otherwise, I have to go onto the server and kick myself off the stream so the next DJ can grab it and start broadcasting. Waiting for it to let go leads to a minute of dead air.

Other DJ programs, like MIxxx and SAMs release right away once you stop broadcasting, so you only have about a 1 second delay from one DJ to the other AND you don't have to log in to the web server and kick them.

Any idea why it holds the stream once the broadcast is off for so long or how I can change a setting to make sure that it releases right away?

The first picture shows it broadcasting fine. The second picture is 30s after clicking the broadcast button to shut off.

The "kick" option is shown in blue, next to the source.

Thanks,

Pete
