I'm on b7524 and testing using CDJ export to use on a Numark Mixstream pro
I've tried using both SD card and a USB stick - both works fine as long as they are formatted in FAt32 - so max 32 GB
I bumped into 3 things so far:
1. I get an error if I try to export a playlist or a virtual folder. VDJ says: "Problem exporting playlist", but it look like it's working ok regardless. It doesn't matter which CDJ format I use. Exporting tracks or batches of tracks by dragging them into the CDJ folder works fine
2. The playlist and tracks transfers, together with BPM, key and hotcue information. But it doesn't transfer track length, regardless if I do playlist export or dops single tracks into the drive
3. I think that the unit re-analyzes the tracks even though it has all the information. I could be wrong though

How about beatgrid customizations — do they transfer over? Or maybe they are lost if EngineOS re-analyzes as you suspect in item 3.
It would be very cool to be able to also walk up to an EngineOS device and play with a stick exported from your VDJ collection.

I'll check :) I don't depend much on the grid - I basically only need the BPM to be correct, for pre play BPM allign (using sync), correct auto loop lengths and so on
Yes, and it does indeed work - there are only a couple of bits I can't figure ou

That, and also for some beat effects and for SoundSwitch accurate grids help.

After a bit of testing - it's inconclusive:
Yes it does recalculate the BPM and the grid on some tracks
BUt on others which clearly have the wrong BPM it doesn't - it just accepts the BPM
I can't really find a pattern
And I can't find a way to disable it - maybe someone with more knowledge on Engine OS knows more

Does anybody have any inputs on this?

VirtualDJ does write track length to the cdj database, so not sure why the mixstream doesn't read it.
Looks like the error message being shown was indeed a bug. It's actually displayed before the export even finished, so nothing to worry about, will fix.
Edit: Beat-grid is also exported

I asked Numark about the missing parts of the CDJ exported files (no length, + it realalyzes the tracks on load), and got this back:
So the Numark fix to use the support they have for CDJ exported USBs, is to not use it - and use Engine instead
Hmmm... Not impressed :)

When exporting your Rekordbox collection I'd advise running this through Engine on a computer before going to your Numark Hardware. When doping so, Engine can analyze all the tracks in your collection and you can then use the Sync Manager option to add this to your drive.
By going straight to the Mixstream Pro, any tracks loaded will need to be analyzed in the moment by your hardware, this can naturally be quite taxing on the device when you're in the middle of a session. I'd suggest taking a look through our guide HERE that goes through importing a Rekordbox collection to Engine.

May I ask what this "Root"-Device or -Folder is, inside the CDJ Export-Folder?
