Topic: Folder Expansion Delay and Beatsource Offline Locker Persistence

Hi everybody,

I'm brand new to Virtual DJ, coming from Algoriddim DJAY. I love it so far but I have two questions/observations I hope I can get cleared up.

1. Occasionally, there is a delay when I expand my local iTunes library, Tidal, and Beatsource. Is this normal?

2. I add files to the Beatsource Offline Locker and they work fine. But, when I delete them, they're still there. I have to navigate elsewhere and return to see the Offline Locker is empty. Is this normal? Also, it seems to take a while to download the files compared to what I'm used to. Any thoughts on this?

I'm on the most recent build with Mac M1 Ventura.

Also, I just downloaded files to the offline locker, went offline, and they're not showing up...that's making me nervous...

In addition, just now when I'm offline, folders are not expanding. Local is not expanding at all.

Any ideas?

I'm on the most recent build with Mac M1 Ventura.

Yes this is normal, I assume it is the time required to load the folder structure from the external server.
(I subscribe to Tidal and Beatport Pro)

Yes this is also normal, again maybe needs to update from a database read, which is done when initially opening the folder.

One can see similar behaviour when deleting files in a filter folder.
Say one has filter for all missing tracks, then one, batch removes all the missing files from the search DB. The filter does NOT update till one navigates elsewhere and back again.

Maybe this could be something that could be tweaked, to behave differently.

Compared to what?

My experience is Beatport Pro can be a bit slow. Tidal is always much faster downloading larger lossless flac files faster.
For example For the same track: the Beatport (file size 7.02MB) will take 1-2 seconds longer to download then from Tidal, file size: 24.89MB

And when doing a search: if I do not get results within a second or 2 then I know there are NO search results from TIDAL. The Beatport search results, take about 4-5 seconds longer, then those from Tidal.
