Bought ddj800.. used it a few times
Was playing a party with no internet. I got prompted to enter my controller number and vdj would not work and controler did not work.
Never had an issue. Is this a license issue

VirtualDJ never asks for controller "number"/serials. If you were logged in with your Pro account, you shouldnt get any such prompt.
The only case your controller to not working is if you had logged out on this computer in the past and then tried to start VirtualDJ without internet connection, so no way to login and verify your license.
