Topic: Yamaha MG10XU - VirtualDJ Home Plus

Hi,
I want to use my Yamaha MG10XU but with a Home Plus Licence.
With this licence I must add the mixer before purchasing - but there are no Yamaha mixers to choose.
Which mixer should I select??
Thanks

I don't really think that is a suitable mixer to use with vdj.
it only has a stereo input over usb and that goes to a fixed mixer channel.

[I have a MG12XU, but I use it as a final stage mixer before my amp stack]

realistically you'd need a audio interface [external soundcard] with 4 analogue output channels and a vdj analogue licence if you wanted to use the MG10XU

Hi - Thanks for your reply..
I'm not wanting to record - just to play - does that make a difference?
If I have to choose a mixer from the dropdown, which would be the nearest match - or wouldn't it matter if I'm just playing through the mixer..??

HI,
that mixer is for audio signals , live or studio, you may want a dj controller, you can try with any entry level from $99

good luck

Or, if you want a one-time purchase, but will never use it professionally and want to license only one controller, our VirtualDJ Home Plus license for entry-level controllers costs $49 or $99.

Whats the difference please?? apart from $50!!

@JUNLAJU it's not a dj mixer.
as it stands the only thing you could do with it is send the master out from vdj into one channel of the mixing desk, all the mixing would be performed inside vdj.

add a 4 out audio interface and buy an analogue licence and you could then use the desk to mix tracks.

the price reflects the complexity of the controller, beginner controllers clock in at $49, intermediate $99,
there is no nearest match, either it's the right licence for the device or it simply won't work.

Ok - I think I get it - is the analogue licence listed separately somewhere?
Thanks again
