32 bit ? 64 bit ?
mac ? windows ?
which CPU
which kind of video board ?
what karaoke file type ?
just some example of infos needed to get some more help
i.e.:
using mp3 instru for karoke will not show anything because there are not lyrics
(lyrics can be added)
crossfader video may be wrong side

All files? if so check if volume down (fade to black), crossfader other side, etc.
Not seen anyone have issues with karaoke, should work fine..
and if its just some karaoke files, from what source? and what format

And just to make sure, you need karaoke files to show text.
Using the karaoke feature without premade karaoke files will not show any text..
You can get karaoke from subscription or online stores.
