Hello!

I have moved all my music in to one folder on my new pc, and replaced all database locations "C:\xxx\xx" with the new path.

But every time I start VDJ, the database resets.

I have tried searching for a while, but cant seem to find similar problems.

Cheers.

Hey Rune.

The Database file resets after i open vdj.
To its original state.

I didnt know about the backup feature, i'll try that when I get home.

Cheers

Did you edit the path with VirtualDJ open then perhaps?
If you meant that the path reset back to "wrong" paths... ..

Or perhaps some cloud service that syncs.

And do look at link above, maybe you see a better/easier way to transfer to new computer :-)

vdj was ofc closed when I edit. Even looked in task manager to make sure.

The original database is blank, only has some default samples.

I paste the database from my old pc, then replace all the paths with the new path.

When I open vdj, the database resets to the original with only the default samples.

I was about to hook my old pc up now, to do the backup method.
But I guess VDJ need a GPU to work? Then im S*it out of luck :p

I guess by GPU you meant a dedicated gpu like Nvidia card?
VirtualDJ will work fine without that, using the onboard graphics on the computer.
Your old computer will be able to run and start VirtualDJ ;-)

(Its the Stems feature that is often refered to as needing a dedicated GPU, but even that will work without, using the CPU instead, though a bit slower at stem generation when on CPU)
