I currently have a Denon MK 6000 MK2 controller and ive connected my Shure SM7B mic to it for broadcasting. I can hear the mic through the headphones as i should do but nothing is coming out of the virtual dj when I broadcast and record only the music. I have set all the settings correctly on the audio page. Is this a software issue? my current version is 8.5. Ive heard there's a few problems with his version. Please can someone advise

First, your controller needs to be on REC OUT/MIC mode and have the Audio setup as shown in the manual ..https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/denon/mc6000mkii/advanced.html
(you probably miss one of the mic/record lines) ?
Then on your Mac, System Preferences -> Security & Privacy - > Privacy tab,
scroll down to "Microphone", select , and allow (enable) VirtualDJ to use it
