DOES ANYONE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BROADCASTING?

If you mean the "audio" broadcast option in VirtualDJ its a personal user to user broadcast where you are the radio "server". So for it to work, listeners needs to be able to connect to your computer.

You probably need to open port in your firewall/router. See here:
https://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/open-port-for-direct-broadcast.html

And if out of luck, broadcasting TO a radio server instead , is much easier to make work.
And plenty of options, see here for a few: https://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/broadcast-to-a-radio.html

Do you know where I can get the settings for the VDJ broadcast option?

Iol I know that, I was referring to what you fill in i.e.url, name, source etc - mine's not filled in.

Doesn't work me. I tried the broadcast option just for fun. I opened Port 8000. https://portchecker.co/ said I was good to go. I opened my broadcast tab and it forwarded me to:
http://www.virtualdj.com/user/very_unique_dj_name/live.html

That page brings up a white box with a VDJ record and says: OFF AIR

This is different message than when I had port 8000 closed.

I get the same thing any help would be greatly appreciated

I had the same problem as well. After a couple hours of trial and error trying to configure my firewall and router to work with VDJ, I finally got it working. It ended up being a router setting that was preventing it from broadcasting even after setting up the port forwarding, I also had to unselect internet NAT redirection in my filters. I hope this helps out other fellow DJs that are running into this problem.

the solution is to set direct port in vdj to port 80 and forwarding ports to 8000 both firewall and modem

Can you do a step by step on NAT FILTER, please?

Yes says OFF AIR.. ports are open and done all troubleshooting.

Also having this problem. Port 8000 open. I've broadcast many times up until recently without problem. No settings have been changed.

It seems to register that I'm broadcasting but says 'off air' when you open the player. Strangely enough I had 1 person manage to connect and listen but others couldn't, including myself when testing from my mobile.

Support unhelpful, just sent me a generic link to a page about firewalls and ports.

If anyone has successfully solved this I'd love to know how

Further to my above message, I've discovered I can connect when using mobile data instead of my home wifi and if connected to wifi I can only connect using a VPN. I can only assume that certain ISPs are blocking access possibly?

you can't have a circular connection with most home ISPs
broadcasting on a port and receiving the broadcast on the same port.
When it's said, check on your phone it is meant check with your phone's data plan not using your phone with home wifi.
