I can't get my Hercules 4mx controller to work with virtual dj

It's not detected at all in VirtualDJ or partially working ?
Do you see the device in Device Manager ?
Have you installed the latest Hercules ASIO driver and firmware ?
Are you connecting to a USB 3.0 port ? Then perhaps the firmware cannot be updated.

4-MX & MK-4 both work fine for me but there are special conditions to respect
did you install hercules driver ? https://support.hercules.com/en/product/djconsole4mx-en/
does it detect controller correctly ? (it installs latest firmware if needed, network authorization may be needed)
are you using a USB 2 port (does not detect with USB 3.x) see Knowledge base same page
are you using original USB cable (it is bad quality and ends not working with age)
if using PC, may sometime be useful (depending on config) to use 2016's ones (even after upgrading firmware)
