The crash is repeatable here.
I open VDJ, select the default skin, click the video tab in the mixer section, click the video window to open the master video display, open the sideview tab and select sampler, select the "video & scratch" bank, then press the Ahh Scratch sample.
VDJ shuts down, then reopens with another skin. Also just now it reopened with my entire library missing - no songs, no folders, nothing.
Hmmm, it only seems to do it when the master video window is open. 32 bit version works fine.

Could you try with useDXVA off?
Was not able to reproduce, but seems like it might be specific to ATI graphics.

It was off already. Switching it on/off doesn't seem to make much difference - although now the crash isn't happening so often. Sometimes it plays OK.
All that's changed is that I did have a SWF file on a pad in the same bank earlier, which I've now removed.
