Topic: XDJ-Aero sound card problem

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

After a long while of not DJing I decided to come back. Back then my teacher would set up all of the technical stuff. Today I downloaded the latest version of VDJ pro and attempted to connect it to my controller. Everything works(select wheel, play, cue, etc) and links fine, the only thing that fails is the sound output as there is no option available for the internal sound card of the controller, only the computers(MacBook Pro Catalina) built in speakers.

I've attempted to install, uninstall, update any mapping or drivers for the controller but to no avail. Out of sheer curiosity I went back to my old MacBook (way older IOS and VDJ 7) where I used to DJ years back, it worked perfectly as it HAD an option to directly select the internal sound card.

If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

Did you look on the Pioneer site? There are documents which tell you which OS the Aero is compatible with, the changes to security on Macs (and how to install the drivers) and also which Pioneer controllers work under Catalina...
