Is there a way to delete all tracks in the database and start fresh? I have been organising my tracks and moving most of them to different folders. Since I am new to VDJ I might as well start over.
Another Q, how can I prevent VDJ to automatically scan my drives and import tracks. I only want to import specific folders but I noticed that tracks are imported from old traktor playlists as well as from various places at my Harddisk.

Thanks for this info answer 5 years later!
I was Google searching for an answer how to clear my database and I saw your post.
I wasn't expecting the answer for autoSearchDB. I never knew there was a switch to turn off the autoSearchDB. I need it turned off for my Office PC.
This is an update to your answer for 2020 for the present 2025 year now. I believe the main database.xml used to only be in the Documents\VirtualDJ years ago. The newer version of Virtual DJ creates Virtual DJ folders now on external hard drives (that has music or video files) that connects to Virtual DJ program. Like I have a split external drive. One drive letter is D: and the other is V: for videos. Both drives have a Virtual DJ folder with a datababase.xml in them.
Of course anybody toying around with your database.xml file...before you do anything...go make a backup of your database down at the bottom left dot in your Virtual DJ under Database>Create Database Backup.
I did that backup first. Then I went to the Virtual DJ folders on my external Hard Drives and I had my Virtual DJ program turned off...and then I renamed the database.xml so, I could have it as my backup and just rename it back to database.xml if I screwed something up. Then I turned my Virtual DJ program on and it will eventually create a new database.xml file automatically.

At least since VirtualDJ 7 the database is stored on each of the external drives as well, so that's at least 15 years ago :p
