Topic: Search bar

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Previously when you hit CTRL+F it would take you to the search bar & highlight
the previousl search. The you only needed to type the name of your search without
having to clear previously searched. In 2020 you need to clear the search bar first
before you can type something.
Is there a fox for this?

Here you go...

Strange, goes on working for me with b5350
with CTRL+F what is in the search box is still fully selected

groovindj HAHA good one. Fat fingers again.

The CTRL+F does put you in the search box. However you need to
clear the search if you did a previous search.
Before you did not have to clear the search bar.

I just gave this a try. I'm not sure I understand your issue.

If something is entered into the search bar, the results show in the browser.

If I then click elsewhere (the browser for instance), pressing ctrl+f takes me back to the search bar and the previously entered text is highlighted. I can then just type in my new search term and it replaces the previous entry. No need to clear it first. As soon as you type, it clears.

This is on b5350 of VDJ 2020 64 bit and Windows 10.

Mine only works if I hit return then CTRL+F.
I'll just deal with it though.
Thanks

So you were still on your previous search, I guess, when you hit CtrlL-F, and never hit return or clicked outside the search area?

hello

Hi!
I do have a major issue with the search bar. No song will be found, whatever I type in. Don't know what could have changed, it worked well for years...
Any help for me? What are the basic settings? I don't want to get back to the factory settings.
Thanks very much from Hamburg,
Thorsten
