Topic: Ignore drive or directory on macOS?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I haven't seen an answer on this in the past. There is an ignoredrives option that seem to maybe only work for a PC since on macOS there is no drive letters. I would actually prefer an ignore folders option but is there a way to accomplish either on macOS?
