Topic: Copy Filter Folders from External Drive

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey Guys, I recently moved (copied) my music from my external hard drive to my laptop's internal hard drive. I done this inside VDJ.
Everything's fine though, I'm wondering if there's a way to copy my filter folders which is stored on the VDJ folder on the external drive.
I already tried copying the folders there (except for the database.xml file. Am I missing something?????
Any help thnx.

Are you talking about filter folders or virtual folders?

Filter folders should work after copying the folders folder from your external to internal drive.
Virtual Folders just store the path to a track, so maybe you need to edit the virtual folder file with a text editor and replace the old with the new path to the track.

Filter Folders.
Thnx for your reply.I copied the Filter Folders "Folder", but i can't edit the path for each individual filter.
This is what i see:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<FilterFolder filter="genre= "soca" and year = "2017" and rating = "5"" scope="database" />
Lemme know if I am missing something
thnx again.

OK I Got it.
Didn't add the new Folder structure to theSearch DB.
Everything's fine now.
Much Thanks
