Your budget is.....?

TBH if I were you I wouldn't get a projector. Get a couple of nice big LCD screens instead. Far easier to set up.

I can't remember the last time I used my projector. It has been so long that it's obsolete, does not have HDMI. The last 3 times that I used a projector, they were in the venue. Let us know more about your budget and your intentions, as it may be better to just rent one.

Now if you are thinking about using as a gobo projector, that's a different story, and a different price range.

I amaze many of you doing video DJ'ing.
Here in Sweden it's very rare venues having video projection from the DJ.
I think it's enough taking care of two decks and a sampler LOL

I would need something to be able to play music videos, posting messages on the screen but to be able to use in different sized rooms that's way projector would be maybe good, price range from 250- £500 any suggestions about lumens ?

Lumens - as bright as possible. This is just one reason why I suggested screens.

A projector has to have enough lumens to be usable in whatever light level is in the room. It's no good you insisting on total darkness just so they can see a picture. OTOH LCD screens have backlights. They will work fine even in daylight.

The reason I use LCD instead of projectors is because of the various room sizes. You will find it hard to set up a screen, or use a wall as a screen, because of the size of most rooms. Even projecting gobos become a challenge. Try shining a gobo on a wall, with a 10 foot ceiling. Unless you are in a large room, and have a spot that people are not sitting, it will work. Otherwise, it will hit them while they are sitting. I use 42" in most rooms, and 50" in larger rooms. If you are regularly doing gyms, and large conference rooms, I would say yes get a projector. But if you are in rooms with 8 to 10 foot ceilings, use TVs. Also, your TVs can be turned to face the guest, when you have 2.

Again, if you are doing large events, then you will need 3500 to 5000 lumens. If you are doing events with 200 people or less, go with TVs. They can be 80" if you need, and you will need help with them.

I think you need both a projector, and one or two TV's. It's a good idea to start with a TV, they weigh little nowadays, and are easy to set up.
A projector is only of use in large venues.
Rear projection is essential. The Epson X31 at around £300 is not bad. It's throw ratio is not as short as I would wish, but it is suitable for many big venues. However the brighter, and shorter the throw ratio the better. The cost rapidly goes up for superior projectors.

I will need more for large rooms and small occasionally i have found this one 4000 Lumen 200 Inch 3D 1080P Full HD Home Cinema HDMI Short Throw LED Projector

Brand: FR
Model: S89

Can you post a link?

Is this a well known brand over there?

There are some manufacturers who make false claims to brightness.

It's using new led technology which in the past has not met it's claimed brightness.

What is the throw ratio?

I don't know man!

Good luck in your research, maybe one of your countrymen can help you better, because I have never heard of that brand.

I think the led projectors will end up being as good as those with a conventional lamp..but when?

Another problem related to brightness is how it's measured. Many reputable companies only rate white light brightness, and their colour brightness is low.
Some rate all..both white and colour.
Epson are quite good.

Thanks to all of you for your quick replay

Tank you
