Topic: Scan all song To detect fake MP3 whit a result of frequency on the library files

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Anybody can do or know an app for PC to detect a batch of fake 320kb with a result of a spectrum, "not to see the image" one by one like Spec but, to know the real frequence for each files in a library, this is the only way to trill a package of mp3 files more faster ?

get your music for a legit source and you will never need to worry about this.

in other words purchase it :-)

sometimes there's always people who believes without blame and judge people too quickly!
You never gave or have music as a gift?
Do you have a comment constructive somebody?

....but MP3s cannot be given as a gift. They belong only to the person who purchased them.

Also if they've been purchased, then the quality should not be a problem.

yes but never in quantities i could not handle checking myself ?

some gifts are too good to be true...........

OK, I know that but, this is not the question of my post

Can we add "Frequence" in the virtual dj library to see the quality of each files ?

It's not a necessary feature for DJs who operate legally. Atomix would expect their users to abide by the law, so the feature would not be required.

Delete your poor quality "gift" MP3s and buy them in excellent quality from a legal vendor.

This is what i whant to do , but i have to detect them firts

So you don't know which tracks in your collection are yours, and which ones are not?

I do know that Mixed In Key will alert you to files that can be improved. It will suggest you fix them using their Platinum Notes software.

Of course you will need to buy Mixed In Key.

right click on a column in the browser and select "bitrate" and you will get a column with the info and you can sort by it see image below.

I have some mp3 that in the past I too compressed
because we had no place in the hard drive and I find the old song 128kb and 160kb and the sound is really not good and some false 320kb
perhaps I have the uncompressed by mistake in the past and it's all mixed,
thank you I'll watch the demo, it'll probably help me
but I wanted a solution to get rid of them with Virtual DJ
sorry for my English

That's no use. He says that he wants to look for fake 320k files (ones which are lower bit rate hidden inside a 320k "wrapper").

I seem to remember seeing some program a long time ago that analyzed frequency content to give an estimate of the quality, but can't remember what it's called anymore.

Yes Wikedmix i know that, maybe it will not too complicate to add Frequency of kHz there
and detect all not good to delete them

Adion
"Spek", it a good program to see one by one frequance of Hz
Exemple
KHz - Compresed.
Flac = +22khz 20% .
320 = 20 khz 80%
256 = 19,5khz 82%
192 = 18,5khz 87%
160 = 17,5khz 89%
128 = -16,5khz 91%
less then 192kbps it realy poor quality on a sound system

wow what a crazy problem i am glad i don't have it.

Simply using a spectrum analyzer only works when the encoder used the default low-pass filter for the given bitrate.
It is completely possible to disable this, thus giving a 64kbps mp3 frequencies up to 22khz
(Of course this will sound worse than using the default, but you will need a bit of experience to spot it in a spectrum analyser, see http://www.walterdevos.be/how-to-check-quality-of-mp3-file for example)
Also, I don't think the poster wants to use a spectrum analyser on his files one by one.

I'm not sure if it's the same program as I remember, but it looks like it does a similar job:

Thks this is fore flac files not for mp3

In VDJ if we put "Hz" in the labrary it will be easy to detect it and delete all !
