Just curiosity, what are the advantages of signing in at the prompt of opening VDJ?

Does it change the software performance if you disregard the signing in?

In v8 the software will only work with a controller for 10 min (test period) if you are not signed in (if it's doesn't ask you, you are already signed in)
In v7 it will work based on your license key, but the login is used to communicate with the servers based on your settings and credentials. For instance Content Unlimited works based on the login
