Hey everyone! hope christmas was amazing for you.
so for christmas this year, my cousin handed me down his gaming pc, since he ended up not touching it this first semester at uni.
Now i know he'd cracked virtual dj before, and so i went into add or remove programs and uninstalled VDJ. My mum has bought me a Gemini Serato SLATE 4 Controller for christmas, but the problem is, the 10 minute time out.
I'm a licensed user, but whenever i open the program it says "system unable because of crack install" above the library bit, and when i try to sign into my licensed VDJ account it says "unable to connect to virtual dj servers please connect to the internet". Now since it won't connect to the servers, it's timing me out after 10 minutes.
I don't really know what's happened, but i would love if someone could help.
Happy holidays, Josh.

You know there was a crack installed. You're getting a message teling you there is/was a crack installed.....and you "don't know what's happened"?
Go to the download (add-ons) area here, and download the utility that cleans your computer hosts file. Run that, then try VDJ 8 again.

I'd recommend uninstalling VDJ again and then clean your registry.
After that install VDJ again and run the tool mentioned above.

Many of the cracks add an entry into the hosts file on the PC. Open the following file using a text editor (notepad.exe works fine):
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Remove any/all entries that don't have a # (hash mark) in front of it. Save the file and then try again.
(Based what I have read on these forums, this usually works.)

If your not comfortable editing the syste file, then do as GroovinDJ said. Look for FixVirtualDJHosts
