Topic: Recommended VST plugins

There are several VST plugins out there and since native VDJ plugins can't event remotely compare with Pioneer's DJM or Remix station, I was wondering which VSTs do you find useful and actually use them on gigs?

love this!

I have copied the content from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2 to C:\Users\Username\Documents\VirtualDJ\Plugins\SoundEffect and I get Error This plugin does not seem compatible with VirtualDJ 8 when I try to use Turnado with VDJ8.1.

You need to use the 32-bit plugin with VDJ on Windows, not the 64-bit.

That did the trick, thanks. So what are you favorite effects/subeffects in Turnado? I still cannot find those who are mostly used by popular EDM DJs (Axwell, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Nick Romero etc.) though.

i doubt those djs use anything you can't find on a pioneer mixer or pioneer FX unit if they use anything at all....

what FX exactly are you looking for? if we knew that maybe could be more help.

@wickedmix
Can you recommend a FX plugin that can create sound "buildups" or 'risers"?

i'd guess something more tonal would be the desire.

Sweep uses a filtered manual/synced white noise buildup

I agree however a vst with a gater/cut on that sweep will do something else. Also a tone buildup sound (maybe this is what Locodog is referring to) with the same gater/cut and filter effect I am looking for in a vst plugin that works with VDJ8.

i am not sure what exactly you want to do but turnado has a tone generator and a gate mess about with it you might find what you are looking for

it has so many settings when you dig into it it does most everything
