Hi Could anyone offer any advice on how to fix a display issue please. I have just installed a new graphics card into my Win 7 PC a Matrox 9148.

Now when I open VDJ I get basically a black screen apart from bits of deck 1 showing - VDJ is open but none of the other decks or controls are showing (I have a 4 deck skin as default).


Any ideas how to resolve this one please?

Have you ensured that the driver for your new card is the latest driver available?
 
Thanks for the reply and yep all that's been checked and the latest drivers are installed- I've also un-installed VDJ (fully) and downloaded and installed the most recent version but with no luck.

It's odd because since posting this message I've found that if I change any of the display setting's e.g. simply change what monitor is the main one or move 1 monitor to another position, click apply and VDJ appears normally but if I close VDJ down and re-open its back to how it was on the screen shot.

I've now had time to test other programs on the PC and all of these work fine - its just VDJ causing the issue.
 
This issue was noted with the same video card back in March of this year. No fix from VDJ as they say it is more than likely a driver issue.
You might try some older Matrox drivers. Have you contacted Matrox support? Maybe there is a magic setting somewhere.
I've dug around looking for similar issues but no luck.
 
Thanks so much for the update - I've raised a support ticket with Matrox earlier on so will await a reply from them - if there is a fix I will post it up on here.

VDJ is working fine once I've played with the display settings so no real biggie just not 100% the way it should be
 
Since you say it's corrected when you change a display setting, did you try if resizing the virtualdj works happens to work?
 
Wasn't possible to try that as I couldn't see any of the controls or grab an edge to re-size. I did think if I could minimise it that would be an option but every time I tried to open it, it opened maximised.
 
The resize control should still be at the right-bottom of the window, and I think the mouse cursor will change when you hover over the correct position.
 
Please try this...
Open the settings.xml with a Text Editor.
Locate the following settings and replace with these..
<maximized>0</maximized>
<skinPosition>0,0,960,442</skinPosition>
Save and re-launch VirtualDJ.

See if the issue is resolved. Try to move the skin so that you get the bottom-right edge and try to resize.

I can't grab the corner to re-size in the normal way - I have tried that as I thought that would be a way to 'refresh' the screen.

DJDad - do you know what 'group' that is in as I've been through the whole of the code and can't seem to find any reference like that?

Just noticed that in the options & tweaks settings under skins it has a setting of 'maximised 2' & skinPosition 1399,59,1260,918 is this what you mean?
 
Changing the skin option setting's doesn't resolve it !
