Haha, might save on DJ expenses, but funny how they neglect to mention how many years it will take to recoup the initial investment or even leasing the damn thing.

It won't take that long. At $20 to $100 per request, no DJ pay, no DJ bottles, more people drinking more, and people just wanting to get in to see the thing.

Sad

If I see one I'll attack it with magnets,

Seriously I can only see it beating the most boring of intro-outro mixing Djs, As for crowd manipulation, I think once people cotton on that it plays bad tunes to send people to the bar that venue will have people leave, If you want to remove the human element play a premixed CD (It works for David Guetta)

What Locodog said, a robot can't possibly replace the human feel for music and entertainment. A robotic DJ might look cool, but is doomed. Yes, it might be cheaper, and maybe it'll lure more people for a set mount of time, but eventually people will get bored of seeing it and will prefer a human DJ again. As for the money, you'll only get a short surge of people who want to see a robot mix some plates, it won't last long, so you'll probably not get any more profit from it.

You can make music with lifeless machines, but you can't let lifeless machines make music. It just doesn't work.

I think its a fake article, there is no Club Fame in Austin, Tx. I pretty much know everyone in the business here and no one is opening up a club here with that name.

Novelty i hope

My Poppi (granddad) used to warn me about things like this when he first helped me get into DJ'ing. Good news is, I honestly think we're safe for now, we adapted and survived into the digital age & I don't think the software is gonna replace a humans ability to think on the fly, kinda like the robots we sent to Mars. However, when AI comes of age we might be in real trouble, or become cyborgs, we'll see.

Yes its a fake

Even if it's fake I think a robot dj will soon replace "club djs"

Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto Mata o hima de,
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto Himitsu wo shiri tai,

A Robot will never replace a Club DJ because it can't read the crowd. It cant tell if it played to much dance music and now its time switch over to a different genre. It doesn't know how to set the mood like playing certain songs In the early part of the night and prime time when the club is packed. Its doesn't have skill or flow to bring the energy level high like a prime time DJ playing after 12am. It cant think on its own.

only a DJ known when it is to early to busta a nut!

and you thought spilling a drink on your mixer was bad! lol

Are you surprised?? When i first witnessed Final Scratch, i was like yeah this is just the beginning.

I guess you would wonder what machines are able to do these days ;)

haha I'm gonna throw my whiskey & coke over that contraption

It's only a matter of time before AI is here, after that there won't be a job in the world a human can do better. AI + all the knowledge available on the internet, means these computers will understand us better than we understand ourselves.

A few club DJs I know are robots anyway. Same songs, same order, never take requests.

Be as well record the mix once, shove it on a Rolec and let it run every night.
