Yes, Jason you're quite correct!
We willingly give all our likes, dislikes, friends and personal information to Facebook.
We let Google know everything we are interested in by simply "searching"(and they have a huge AI department!).
And of course our favorite music by way of iTunes!

When you walk into the club, the "Robot DJ" reads the ID from your smartphone and knows who you are and what to play for you!

Considering potpal is laptop spelled backwards (which is what I have heard those of who use laptops referred to as) I am thinking the article is a fake. while it is totally true that they could probably do the sync of everyones phones and itunes and come up with the perfect playlist... any dj that uses beatport or itunes lists could do the same. If that was all there was to what I did I dont think I would enjoy this as much as I do. While I dont doubt they will someday be able to program a robot to interact with the crowd and feel the energy to guide them on the next track to play I dont think that day is today.

Me, I think I'll just stay in bed...

The people who brush off this new revolution as being some futuristic pipe dream, have simply not thoroughly investigated it. In the near future, there won't be anything that a robot can't do better than a human. Artist and entertainers will most likely be the last to be replaced, but it will happen. The question that troubles me most, is how will people make money to pay for things, when they don't have jobs. I think it's highly unlikely that we will live in a world where everyone will share the benefits of our new laborers. We've seen human productivity go through the roof in the last 2 decades, but we still have a 40 hour work week and most people aren't any better off. So when unemployment reaches 50%, how busy will my business be?

Sorry this topic sorta makes me spaz out.
