Topic: CORRECT SET UP FOR MIXDECK QUAD? vdj pro UK

just bought mixdeck quad and download the full virtual dj pro for £240! and i cant get it to work properly
if i just use the laptop to mix it is fine
when i use the decs the crossfader wont work right and i cant cue up on headphones
ive tryed setting up the so called correct way and this does not work for me
the only way i can nearly get it to work is this
usb audio switch set at usb1/usb2 and output is advance settings (mixdeck quad) 1+2
im trying to use ch2 ch3 on mixer with cf assigned to ch2 A and ch3 B
ive tryed downloading mappers for the mixdeck and tryed both set ups on pgm/cue and headphones and that makes it worse
PLEASE HELP

ANYONE ?
so far ive tried to disable the crosfader on the software and that hasnt done anything
and ive tried setting up as a mixer and sound card output mixdeck quad but its just the same
when i move the crosfader on my decks it starts the track???
somethings not right
ive wiped clean all software and drivers and reinstaled then tried downloading software to repair and tried the mapping mixdeck quad1234 still no affect
so far its been a total waste of money virtual dj :(
 
 
Update...
After 3 hole days i have nearly got the quad to work
I have re formated the hard drive on my laptop and reinstalled the pro
Used the correct settings and the quad kind ov works
The only issue i have found is
When i play the track on deck one then try to listen to deck two on the headphones
To cue up i cant here a thing untill i move the crossfader to deck two
So far its been £240 for the pro version down the swanny
Should ov saved my money and waited for the serato dj ti work in dec13 ��

Actually, yes it is - it's one of the options. Note that right at the top of the page it instructs you to set the USB Audio switch to PRG/CUE.



With the switch set to PRG/CUE, selecting Outputs: Headphones (Master: Chan 1&2 / Headphones: Chan 3&4) is correct.

When the switch is set to USB 1/2 then the way you have it (external mixer) is correct.

This is explained on page 6 of the Mixdeck Quad quickstart guide.
 
ok it just makes it worse for my deck set that way
my deck also work on advance config seleck mixdeck quad
ill give it a read now cheers
 
make sure crossader is center then disable crossfader in settings SORTED ;)
