Where do you get your music from? There are many "DJ Pools" available and I have tried them all. ERG Music PoolTraxx is great for DJs and VJs and is 100% compatible with Virtual DJ
I have used this service for four full months now. Check out my review to get more of an idea of what to expect, how to get the most out of the service and my overall opinion of the service. WARNING! I've been extremely satisfied with VJStreet. Their user interface is where they excel. I love their preview efficiency with color coding that shows white for un-listened, blue for listened to, and red for downloaded. And they have instrumentals which I LOVE.
ProVideo4DJs is the other site I use. They have nice Acapellas and re-drums with excellent sound.
This is SO much better than the old days of pulling vinyl out and stuffing it back in the jackets. Now when I get behind I can do 200 plus songs in a sitting to catch up. WAY better than it used to be.

@JimmyL-DL Yes, VJ Street looks pretty good. They are as I mentioned in my video a "specialty" service where they excel in not just the main video but remixes, acapellas, instrumental, clean, dirty extended and other versions. That is their differentiation. They are very genre specific too. ERG offers only the "main" video released by the labels but in EVERY major genre popular in North America.
ERG is best for wedding DJs and other mobile DJs that service a wide variety of ages and genres whereas VJ Street is aimed more at club DJs, Urban DJs and youth oriented DJs. I do clubs, urban and youth oriented gigs too, don't get me wrong. That is what I use a specialty sub service for like Smash Vids, etc. and now that I have actually checked out VJ Street I may use them too. Thanks!

Not sure why I am the only one who sees that the quality of VJ street's videos is VERY inconsistent. It just seems like there is a ton of people pushing them on here. I don't consider them "Pro" quality, so I am not sure why every one keeps saying "they are the best". Other than them being cheap...
I was considering ERG but I am not putting a ton into new sources these days. Had a slow year... Thanks for the review, I will keep ERG in mind as things pick back up.

I too have heard that from other users of VJ Street. I have even seen some of the graininess in their vids. I think a lot has to do with the fact that their video remixers get some of the footage for these remixed videos from questionable sources thus diminishing the quality of the end result.
Almost all of the videos from ERG are full HD quality and are released DIRECTLY from the label and not some third party. That also explains why VJ Street has such a vast amount of older content. Most labels don't push their older content because the real money is to be made in the newest releases. That's why it's good to have sub to a fully legitimate DJ pool whose content is sanctioned by the labels themselves. Labels only give permissions for a limited time so if you're a current subscriber you have full and immediate access to the best quality new releases.
Like I mention in the video. VJ Street and some of the remix video pools are great for club DJs and DJs looking for older content. But keep in mind that this content is likely to be lower in quality.
Like I also mentioned in the video, the bottom line is ERG is great for the latest label sanctioned releases at the highest possible quality at a monthly subscription rate for UNLIMITED downloads and Pools like VJ street are great for remixes, acapellas, instrumentals and older content paid for on a pay for credits basis.

Well of course older content from any pool isn't gonna be that great cause they didn't have HD back then. Sure they can go back and up scale but if it was crap to begin with its just just now high quality crap.
I was always told that the unlimited download sites are the illegal ones??

I was a member of ERG back in the days before video. The company was very small when I started (so small the owners used to come to my city to sell their product) but they had the best selection of music. I still have a single copy of each cd from their knockout collection plus all the other stuff, back tracks, country, dance, nu-music stored away somewhere as I use to get 4 sets from them monthly as business was great back then for me. It must have been almost 20 years ago. I transfered everything to computer about 10 years ago and then went to promo only as I was switching to video. Then I hooked up with xtenda mix for the past 3 years but I find not much is coming out lately for the genres I mix at the club and events. The price is good but I'm searching once again for something better... I'm now looking for someone that can do business in Canada which distributes music videos more in the top 40, reggae/hip hop and country range. I don't play much house but it seems it's about 85-90% of whats available these days

I understand your point. I am speaking of VJ Street's recent releases that are inconsistent and some are just not up to my impression of "Pro" standards.
I have found the ERG published charts to be very helpful too when looking for hits that are not even on the radio yet. They are usually far ahead of the general public though. When I played hits that they posted, many patrons just did not know the songs. I found a month later, people would dance to them as those hits became more mainstream.
I didn't know ERG was Unlimited downloads though. I will definitely consider.

Thanks for the review, Rude, I'll check these guys out.
VJStreet is a decent resource for remixes and such, but the quality is not consistent and the folks at VJStreet don't care to preview anything.
It's an inexpensive option that works for me more often than not. But I'm always looking for new resources.

I am also constantly looking for pools that cater for the HipHop/soul/RnB market especially alot of the old school stuff. Most of the pools out there just cater for the EDM market mostly.
I would appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of an affordable pool that works in that direction.
VJstreet is fine and of course the older stuff will never be in HD.....

That's because edm is what's hot right now and they want everyone's business. It's called "supply and demand", and right now the demand for rnb and the like is not very high right now. Hopefully this so called edm will crash out soon.....

Peruse ProVideos4DJs.com. They are just starting up, but what they have is quite interesting. The audio and video quality is excellent. Especially the audio.
They have acapellas and re-drum tracks. And the price is very reasonable.
