Topic: Recording mp3 file from virtualdj through breakaway

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

New member here...I would like to be able to record a mp3 mix from virtualdj through breakaway and to be able to get the breakaway sound on the mp3 recording. Can someone tell me what version(s) this will take of virtualdj and or various breakaway flavors to make this work.. On a budget here so what ever it takes. I'm only running a onboard sound card on my end.

Thanks,
Tim

Are you on commission from Reloop or something? :-)

As usual I will follow this up by saying that there are many digital audio recorders on the market, most of which have many more features than the Reloop product, for a similar price (or even less).

Tweateman, you shouldn't need to use Breakaway.

If you're DJing then the songs that you're playing have already been mastered, using much more expensive tools than Breakaway, and the resulting music is the way that the artist intended it to be heard. As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

haha..i was just wondering when you appear with this question....;-) ( to be honest: i have no deal with reloop at all)
very simple answer: I only recommend, what i have testet and analyzed myself.
of cause there are many other recorders. but the reloop is easys to use and, especially for this user it has a thru port for the master signal.
the zoom h1 was also tested. it is good for live recordings, but not wired ones. a friend of mine who ows studio analyzed the tracks, and at least between these two the reloop had the better quality...;-)

Thanks for the replies guys. I will have to try headphone out into my other laptops mic input.
