Many users including me are asking for this app like iOS iRemote...
Anybody has an answer???
I tried Splashtop and DJ Control but those are crap. We need a real app for Android devices like iRemote.

it is really not very useful in IOS either man. Zero browser functions, so it is basically a WIFI midi controler. Save yourself the headach and use VNC or Remote desktop.

Splashtop works great for me. The VDJ app is pretty pointless without a browser anyway so let's hope this gets some attention.

Splashtop works great if your not using video, if you are then it doesn't work. At least on a pc I know it doesn't.

Agreed that the ios is pretty useless without a browser. Still amazes me it got out the door without one.
But, you will be happy to know that there is an Android one in the works, see this thread:-

But it's been ongoing for quite some time, so no idea when you could expect to see it.

It got put by the wayside with a load of other stuff I'm working on, but I attacked it tonight and got a good chunk of coding done on it.
So far:
* Skinnable
* Multitouch support
* Bonjour support
* Has a similar browser to iRemote, but with the ability to search too
I've still got some things to do though:
* Need to finish my improved method of communicating status updates for skin controls to try and make GUI updates better
* Need to design an acceptable default skin
* The only skin elements that work currently are buttons and textzones - so I need to add linear and rotational sliders as a minimum.
* Going to look at adding gesture controls.
* I may also look at a more complete browser, however this is no small undertaking - especially if you think about playlists, virtual/filter folders and so on. This is unlikely to be in the first release and may be something that is built up over time.

Not possible for v7, but it would be great if v8 had a very simple web server that could respond to REST requests.
That way, the app could treat Virtual DJ as a server sending in commands and searches and getting responses back. That would make the iRemote apps much easier to implement.
Just a thought...

FYI, you can't "pull up" a few songs on the IOS one either. There is no ability to search or see browser functions. Unless you count arrows and only seeing 1 item at a time... Like I said before, vnc is you best bet.
