I have VDJ Pro Basic. I want to start using a compatible mixer. I was looking at the Numark Mixtrack 2. Will it work?

No it will not work. VirtualDJ Basic is for keyboard and mouse only as clearly stated on its product page and does not support using MIDI controllers.

You will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use MIDI controllers and much, much more: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Please see comparison.

The first thing you need to do is register you're Pro serial number. http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html

As above, please register your Pro serial number to your account http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest v7.4 version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.) Your VirtualDJ LE entitles you to a discount off the cost of upgrading.
